Peer Leader: Code of Conduct
Peer Leaders represent West Lake STEM - YOU are the "face" of the school and your behavior should be exemplary regardless of whether school is in session or not.
• Officers should be model citizens whose behavior, attitude, and effort set a positive example for other students to follow, not only on campus, but also at bus stops, during extracurricular activities and field trips, and any other time an officer is representing West Lake
• Officers are expected to act with courtesy and respect toward administrators, teachers, staff members, and other students in all situations
• Bullying, harassment, fighting, and/or hazing, whether in person or via any electronic format, are not acceptable
• Vandalism, theft, or destruction of school property will not be tolerated: this includes taking things for personal consumption or giving items for free without permission from the Mustang Market or other incentive activities
• Use, possession, concealment, distribution, sale, or being under the influence of ANY substance is strictly prohibited
• Officers must maintain passing grades (2.0 or better in all classes)
• Officers must exhibit academic integrity
• Officers must earn acceptable CCLR grades
• Officers cannot receive any White Slips, Educator Handbook referrals, or suspensions
• Attendance at meetings and events sponsored by the organization is mandatory. In the event an absence is necessary, officers are responsible for getting the absence excused beforehand.
