John Moyes - SBO President
"A successful team has a good attitude, and is willing to put forth ideas, even if they aren't good. The groups takes the idea that they think are best for the situation. The team doesn't put anyone down, no matter how bad the idea is. Doing this would encourage the team, make it fun, and get a lot accomplished at the same time. When I have the opportunity of guiding and directing peers, I teach them what to do, how to do it. I would guide them through the process and enable the to do it on their own."
Emily Lim - SBO Vice President
"I want to encourage other students to do well in school. I want to set a good example for students. I am very positive and I am kind to others. I get all of my work done and I am a great leader. A good leader should be able to get along with everyone. They should be able to take control over a problem. I am a good example because I am positive and responsible."
Akilah Pham - SBO Secretary
"I want to help change the negativity within our school as well as to make a difference: I want to do this for the Student Body. In my opinion, a good leader should be committed, inspirational, set a good example, be focused, positive, generous, and they should be able to communicate well. All of these qualities are important because you want people to trust you, and look up to and believe in you and your abilities. I believe I am a good example because I stay on task and I can communicate well. I also make sure to try and include everybody in the group to make sure no one is left out."
Tue' Tran - SBO Historian
"I have many great qualities that help me as an officer. First of all, I am very confident in my studies as well as in myself. I am a great example of excellence to my peers. My skills to communicate and work well with others is something I am proud to say help me. Something else that I am proud of is my photography and editing skills. I can edit both sound and video very well! I have edited for care team, dance company, famous youtubers, and for fun! I can edit and take photos well too. I have photographed and studied photography for so long! My abilities to make graphic designs are great too! Those skills help me a lot with the position of SBO Historian. I have also had experience as a leader from being a Dance Company Officer, and a Care Team Leader."
VIvian Chau - SBO Social Chair
"In my opinion, the most important quality a leader should have is the willingness to work with anybody and work well with them. If the leader does not work well with others, then there is really no point of having them as a leader. A good leader should also be responsible and patient. A leader who communicates and isn't afraid to speak their mind but is also open-minded to different ideas."
Lilyana Rush - 8th grade president
"The qualities that an SBO should have are kindness, intelligence, confidence, integrity, accountability, passion, and being hardworking. I think that I am a good example to my peers by following the 3 C’s, keeping my language clean, including everyone I meet, and having a positive attitude."
Abigail Peterson - 8th Grade Rep
"I am very interested in making this school a safe place, not only physically by socially for all students. I would like to hear every students' opinion and use it to help better the community, including our school. I would also like to have the experience for future events such as job applications, college scholarships, and changing the world one small step at a time."
Daniel Rupp - 7th Grade President
"Some very important things that a team needs to be successful is to always listen to each others' thoughts, feelings, and suggestions, and to always include everyone and make sure that everyone is having a good time. These two things are what I think would make a great Student Body Officer team. These two things are what I always try to remember while working with a group."
Kristin Karangalan - 7th grade Rep
"Some of my best qualities that would help as an officer is that I'm a leader, I like to socialize, and I'm a hard worker. When I am in a group, I always try to get every one involved in what we are doing. I try to listen and incorporate every ones thoughts and ideas. This will help me in student government because I can listen to others thoughts and put in my own input. I like to talk with people and make new friends. Almost all of my friends are new ones that I just made recently. As a student governor, this would help me get to know the student body and help me know that they want. I try to be a hard worker. I try and get my work done on time and when I don't get something I study until I get it. I work hard on both aspects, student government and school work. These are some of the qualities that help me as an officer."
